1991 pontiac grand am se 2.3l quad four
back firing, replaced crank postion sensor, 02 sensor, coil pack, and spark plugs. still backfires seems to be getting to much fuel.
Backfire is usually a result of LEAN FUEL. Look at the front top of the engine and make sure the MAP sensor hose is in place.
Restricted Exhaust, particularly a Catalyst that is clogged, will reduce the amount of vacuum available to the sensor, and hence , Disrupt the fuel curve.
