2001 Lexus ES300 won’t stay started

I drove my car in the morning. In the evening it will not start without me putting my foot on the gas. When I release my foot, it shuts down. 1/2 tank of gas and drove it all week except one day, no problems. Any ideas of what could be the problem? Solutions?
Thoughts:
. Check for codes.
. Change spark plugs with the exact plugs that came in the car.
. Change fuel filter
. Clean the Idle Air Control Valve/hoses, throttle plate, throttle body, and ports
. Change air filter.
If the problem persists, change the Ignition Control Module
