2003 Mazda Protege – Occassional Blink Air Bag Light

I have a 2003 Mazda Protege with 116,000 miles on it. About 1,000 miles ago, the Air Bag light on the dash board would start blinking on random occassions. The blinking usually remains on for 15 to 20 minutes and then goes away. I’ve brought the car to the dealer, but they could not find anything wrong, since the light was not blinking.
Is this something that an OBDII reader could I dentify?
Any ideas on what else to check?
OBDII readers cannot pull airbag codes. It will have to be hooked up to a dealers diagnostic machine.
Too many things it could be, sensor, clockspring, etc.
