Advice re replacement switch wiring

November 15th, 2009

I am replacing the standards white switch units with new coloured ones. The 2 gang old switch has on the rear L1 L3 & L2 on the top of the rear of the switch and L3 L2 & L1 on the bottom ie: 6 connections in total.

The replacement switch has only 5 connections ie: L & L (same!) on the top of the rear and L1 & L2 & L1 & L2 on the bottom rear.

Any advice on how to wire this would be greatly appreciated

What is this switch for? It is certainly not a normal switch found in a home.
Sounds like you have the wrong switch. Get the proper switch.
