Dishwasher not working

Dishwasher will no go into washing sensing cycle when touch pad is touched.
Also, the “clean” light, that normally goes out, once the dishwasher is opened,
is not going out. As long as this light is on, it seems that the cycle sensing will not engage.
Does the “clean” light stays on or it’s blinking? Try to unplug the power cord (under the sink) for a few minutes and plug it back. Does it help? Also I need the complete serial number of your dishwasher.
