GE model# gth22sbrarb dead

November 7th, 2009

Customer called frantic this morning but doesnt want service till Tuesday? Says everything is thawed out but lights are on and thought she heard a motor running. lol.. Purchased 4 years ago. My parts store told me they sell tons of the boards# wr55×10552 and that I should replace all thermistors(3) also. Don’t like being a parts monkey and appreciate any insight.

Thanks as always.
forgot last letter on model# GTH22SBRARBS

I would not change the thermistors just to be changing them..it’s always good to keep a couple on hand though for hard times..sounds as though your going to have a board issue (don’t know if you have this technical wonder supplied in this thread or not but if you don’t print it off and keep it with you)..if the compressor isn’t running then you need to do the bypass test on the board to verify the compressor is good..jump L1 to J8 (shows you the correct terminal placement on the board diagram) if the compresor runs replace the board if not then check the compressor overload and relays just like normal..good luck..check back and let us know how it goes
