GE profile ice crusher

I have a ge profile TFX22PR and the ice maker works, but the gear that turns the ice dispenser does not spin. Help
Check to see if your auger motor is getting 110VAC. there is a switch on the bottom of the freezer door you will need to hold in or bypass. Push the dispenser for ice and you should have a reading of 110 VAC at the two terminals on the auger motor. If the meter probes are long enough, remove the two wires on the motor and insert your probes in the wire ends. Then you can close the door to check it without bothering with the door switch.
