Help! Is there a trick to getting the selector knob off of my ge washer?
It seems to be broken(or the timer knob skirt is broken)I’m not sure what part to order & how to get it off to see what the problem really is. ( It very easily spins without resistance.) It logically seems to me that this may be a commom problem
Pull the knob out as if to start a cycle. Now look on the back side of the knob, and you will see a keeper that holds the knob onto the timer shaft. Get a small flat head screwdriver and push the keeper off, and you knob will come right off…here is the breakdown of the knob and timer.FYI.. the knob does spin freely, thats the way it’s designed
