Help needed with diode connection

November 10th, 2009

Model Number: WB27X608 Brand: GE Age: 5 – 10 years

——————————————————————————–

My GE Spacesaver microwave is dead. I diagnosed a bad capacitor and idode. I have the parts but have forgotten how the diode is connected!

One end is grounded to the capacitor bracket, where does the other end go?

( I’m really quite handy, but I lost my disassembly notes)

thanks,

ok, I checked, if you have 2 red wires the diode will connect to the side with the red/black wire, the other red is hooked up to the other side of the cap by itself. So basically you will have the red/blk wire on one side of the cap, diode on the same side, and solid red on the other sid of the cap.
