How to get rid of clovers

Last Spring i planted several misc. shrubs around my house and put 3-4″ of River rock around them. I didnt put any plastic sheathing down and now i have thousands of little clovers coming up. Its not a big deal for me to go out and pick the misc. weeds that come up now and then, but these clovers are to much. Is there a weed killer or somthing that i can apply without hurting my bushes?
Actually the Weed B Gone Clover and Chickweed killer works better on non-broadleafs like that. Only thing I found that takes out Creeping Jenny (or Creeping Charlie, depending on where you live). It is available as a concentrate, you mix with water on a sprayer or just a spray bottle, depending on how much you are fighting.
