Inspection scopes

anybody know of a cheap device like a proctoscope that would serve to allow us to look inside walls after we have drilled an access hole through the top or bottom plate(s)?
I can’t see the cost of a serious instrument because I’m sure its life would be short in the field, but I think it would sure be handy!
Ridgid see snake, about $200 at home depot.
