Kenmore Dryer 110.63942101 with evenheat and wrinklegaurd
Our Kenmore has the wrinklegaurd that you can’t turn off or disable. It drys the clothes as it should but then if no one shuts it off it will turn off and on by itself for like 4 or 5 hours. I don’t think the wrinklegaurd should keep going for 4-5 hours should it?? My wife has put clothes in and 9-10 and night I will wake up and 2-3 in the morning and it will still be going off and on. I don’t know how to fix this and since we can disable that feature on our model we have been putting up with it. It is very wasteful with the electric. I know some other models have a switch that you can disable this feature. I sure wish mine did. Is there anyway I could put a toggle switch on it somewhere to disable this feature? If I knew which wire to put the switch in line I know I can put a switch on it.

Open the door and reach/look in right behind the filter housing, you’ll see two sensor bars. Wipe ‘em clean to make sure there’s no gookus bridging the bars together.
