Kenmore Top Mount Ref Model 253.74822400 Ice maker not working
ive got this kenmore ref its only about 4 years old Frigidaire built and the ice maker is not making ice or i should say its not dumping ice went out there today there is ice in the ice maker but it will not harvest i tried to advance the fingers a head so the motor would start and it will not now ive checked all 3 micro switches and they are good checked the thermost stat and that is good and i hooked up the motor direct and it ran any suggestions
your icemaker has a high temp safty fuse in the ice maker , remove the front of the head so you can see the micro switches there are two wires that go into the plastic by the mold but you cant realy see what thay hook to……… thats what we are looking for , tug on the wires one will fall right off . its ROTTEN and ITS COMMON and you will need a new ice maker .
