low pressure and air in faucet

January 6th, 2010

i have a ball type faucet in my shower. i have lower pressure than in the rest of the house and there is air in the line. i removed ball and blew out the faucet but didn’t help. it seemed to have better pressure with the ball out. if i plug up the bath faucet and let the shower run, then release it it has better pressure for a few seconds with no air, then the low pressure with air returns. there isn’t a seperate shutoff for the shower, and the bathroom faucet if fine.

Does this sink happen to have a spray attachment?
I had one where the sprayer was letting air into the main line when any water was ran. It turned out to be a lose connection on the sprayer hose.
