Hi there,

Just recently our Quiet Series 300 (MDB8600AWW) dishwasher started to quit half way through a cycle and then the LCD shows a flashing 9 and the green rinse LED is lit.

I checked the ribbon cable connection to the controller card and it appears to be fine with no moisture visible.

I’m wondering if it’s the door latch (my handle broke again anyway) or if it’s the actual control card?

We’ve also noticed occasional moisture coming out of the front just below the control panel. Is this normal?

I’m wondering if I should scrap this dishwasher and purchase a new one.

Yes, it sounds like your control board may be bad.

Whats the serial# of your dishwasher?

Also how old is it?

I believe the dishwasher is about 4-5 years old.

Is it normal for the dishwasher to leak a bit of water out the front?

No, that would not be normal for any dishwasher.
