maytag msd2758drw not cooling
I have seen sevaral threads about the refrigerator not cooling. I removed the rear panel the freezer and found the coils frozen as described in previous threads, but I’m just not sure where to go next. Do i replace the Adaptive Defrost Assembly or are there others steps I have to take or check.
Its likely just your adaptive defrost board thats bad, but I always first do an ohm test for continuity on your defrost thermostat while its frosty, and your defrost heater.You can get a cheap volt/ohm meter at Radio Shack.
When ohming the defrost thermostat, it should be frosty when ohming it out for continuity.Make sure you unplug your refrigerator first.If you need to replace it, it comes with the heater assembly here:Part#61006199Defrost heater & thermostat assembly
