new car with tranny problem

October 3rd, 2009

my fiance just bought a 95 grand marcis and when you start to go in drive it sifts fine from first to second but when it tries to shift in to drive it won’t shift until anywhere from 30 to 45 mph we want to see if it’s something small first and we don’t know where to start i will take any advice anyone is willing to give me and ill look into what you guys think it could be thank you

When it does shift into third doer it shift smooth or does it feel like you are driving over rumble strips? If this is the case a fluid change might cure your trouble. Your car has a plug on the torque converter to allow it to be drained, it must be drained when fluid is changed or it will not help. When refilling the trans pour in 4 quarts, start the engine and continue to fill, trans and converter will hold 9 or 10 quarts in total, add then check DO NOT OVERFILL.

A Spanish building site, thats what it would look like, either plaster it or render it or it will look forever unfinished.
