Rough plumbing for sink
I am remodeling my bathroom and am replacing a vanity sink with a pedestal sink. I re-ran the water supply lines into the wall space and was wondering what the best way of securing the pipes would be. The way they are now they move side-to-side when I touch the valves.
Any suggestions before I close up the wall would be appreciated.
Thanks.
The best way to secure copper lines is with a copper coated strap called a Hold Rite Strap. They come with 1/2″, 3/4″ or1″ holes or a combination of any of the above. The holes are set at 2″ spacing to make it easy for installation. They screw or nail to the stud face and you solder the pipe to the strap. Then sheetrock over it. It will never move.
There are also similar strap type hangers like this with plastic clips to hold the pipe.
