Stack Dryer/washer FLSE72GCSA
Okay so here is the deal. My appliance man came out to fix the horrible squealing that came with the dryer my mom gave me. IT had stopped heating alltogether (needed element) He took it apart, and replaced the element and found that the bearing had been ground down to almost the size of a marble. He replaced the bearing out of a Package that had other parts in it, but he only used the bearing. Well 170$ later, it still squealed. It took forever for him to come out, and He said it needed new felt and the bearing was bad again. He replaced the bearing and put new felt on. When he left, he left the book that came out of the package he got the bearing and felt. I noticed that the kit (#5304457724) had other items in it. a idler and belt as well. Now I did a check and they are only 39.00 on ebay new, and the book says it is designed to improve operation, replace worn parts, and extend appliance life cycle. Well not even 2days after the guy left, the drum has fallen a bit, and if you dry clothes in it, the clothes get caught up in and and it tears them along with leaving a dark brown smudge on them. I have contacted him and he has stated for a couple of months now that he would come and take a look at it. HE has yet to come.
My question is this. Was he supposed to put all the parts in the package on my dryer at the same time? Is this why i am having such a deal with this dryer.
Yes. He should have put all of the parts in that package on your dryer. The most important part in this kit is the bearing that supports the trailer ball hitch looking part. The part number for this is 131825900. It looks like this
