I just got a computer with vista in it, and after i installed the internet and msn 7.5. (because windows live kept refusing to install). a message appears that says “critical error found, vista will now restart in 1 minute” and it keeps doing that everytime i go on, now
and after that message appears, it doesnt let me to on Control Panel or uninstall anything
and the msn messenger 7.5 refuses to connect too even though the internet is working
Is there any solution to all this?
i need help
When you next get that message, click on the Start orb and type:
cmd
in the Start Search bar and hit Enter on your keyboard. Type:
Shutdown –a
after the prompt> and hit Enter again. That should stop the shutdown. Can you uninstall Messenger now?

Hey everyone,
my girlfriend got a new laptop, and its having wireless troubles.
It will connect to the internet perfectly if you use a Ethernet cable, but its got built in wireless.
But the wireless wont work. At my girlfriends house it connects then disconnects to their netgear router because of a ip confliction, but i dont know how to change the ip address. Ive dried the cmd ” ipconfig/release – renew” and manually putting a new ip in.
And at my house it just wont connect to my livebox. stops when its trying to aquire the ip. But for both it will work wired.
any ideas?
What does an ipconfig /all show? Is the laptop set to receive it’s IP via DHCP from your network, or do you have a static IP set up for each computer on your network? Make sure for the wireless on the Vista PC the SSID is set right, along with the correct encryption type (WEP, WPA, WPA2) and the correct key phrase.
