vista removal

I have this friend who wants to remove vista from her laptop and wants to install XP she wants here hard drive wiped I could do that with a 98 boot disk but the laptop has no floppy I know that their is a way to make a boot cd to do this could someone point me in the direction of this boot cd.
First of all, have you checked to make sure there are XP drivers available for her system? Many manufacturers are putting Vista-only hardware in their systems now.
Secondly, have you check ed the warranty? You could very well be voiding it by removing Vista and installing XP.
Lastly, what is she using for an XP cd – OEM (came with another system), an original Microsoft XP cd or one someone downloaded from the net?
